Jun 17, Yes, chopping down trees is"cutting plants." So is harvesting berry bushes. Harvesting healroot, and the other hand, is"Grow." Basically, anything done within a growing zone is"Grow." Even if it's harvesting trees or bushes. It stump grind very large trees like you're not all that familiar with the work tab. Yeah I tried that, but the priest still kept going back to the tree hammer fall bushido after I removed the zone.
=/ I removed all tree growing zone on the rest of the map (I had like 4 due to a desert start) and everyone seems to be leaving those alone now.

But Rimworld starts automating the cutting of trees for a construction job, but instead of assinging a plant cutter it assigns the construction worker, that's just wrong. Dec 05, Now it AUTO-selects all % grown trees to be harvested, using the grow skill not the cut skill (better yield), and it KEEPS ON doing so as long as the zone exists. click'n'drag mouse pointer in the area you want. Help (Mod) I'm trying to play as a colony of tree lovers, and I assumed I could just draw my growing zones around the trees, but apparently pawns doing growing will automatically cut trees that are next to one of your growing zones, not just ones that are actually inside of them.
As to cutting down the trees, I suspect that the early game is going to be extremely challenging to balance out the relatively cheap wood and berries later. At least you know there are quite a few of us trying to put in farm fields while only cutting 2 trees per quadrum.
